Moores Pasties started in a small garage with a big dream. Today, we proudly serve our community through our Exmouth shop and online store, baking tradition into every bite.
Our vision is to keep tradition alive while embracing the future — delivering handcrafted pasties to our community and beyond, through our shop, online store, and a passion for quality.
In the late 1970s, Harry began baking pasties in his garage on Church Road, Exmouth, sharing them with passersby. His son Raymond soon joined in, selling his father’s delicious creations from a car park in Budleigh Salterton. What started small quickly grew into a beloved local tradition.
In 1982, Harry moved his business to a small unit in Exmouth's trading estate. But soon the demand was so high they expanded to a bigger space in 1986. They still used only the best local ingredients; getting all their meat from Exmouth butchers Porky Downs and Reynolds.
Sadly in 1987, Harry passed away. Moores Pasties was then taken over by Raymond..
Moores grew steadily, adding vegetarian options while proudly keeping their original pasty recipe since 1982. In early 2020, Ray retired, and Daniel took charge, launching Moores' first website and online shop. When the pandemic hit, 85% of wholesale trade collapsed, but home deliveries soared thanks to Daniel’s foresight. With help from his brother Jason, the team managed over 300 deliveries daily, ensuring customers—especially the vulnerable—were cared for. Today, Moores continues to deliver fresh pasties directly to your door.
On 19th June 2022, Ray sadly passed away. The community’s outpouring of condolences filled his family with pride. To honor him, we closed for the day, allowing all staff past and present to attend his funeral. Even our original happy bake logo seemed to shed a tear.
In 2025, Moores Pasties proudly serves customers both in our welcoming Exmouth shop and through our thriving online store.
